Bioshock Rocks!

Last night I played the Bioshock demo on my Xbox 360 and I have to say that this game just rocks! While the demo only allowed me to play for 30 mins or so, it was a dark, erie, pulse-pounding 30 minutes. The gothic 40’s era setting really gives it a great feel and look while the ambient sounds coming from my 7.1 channel surround setup made me look over my shoulder more than once. On top of just looking and sounding great, the story was very interesting which is usually not the case with most FPS’s (first person shooter) out there. They used a narrative-type tactic to keep you informed on what was going on in the game as well as having the NPC’s (non-player characters) use their AI to tell you more of the story as you went along. Couple all of that with some great weapons, smooth combat, and easy controls and you end up with a killer game! I’m definitely going to consider buying this game when it comes out next Tuesday even though I know I’ll be setting it aside on September 25th for Halo 3. That said, I highly recommend that you download and try out the demo on Xbox Live very soon!
