Sorry I haven’t been on today but I’ve been completely wrapped up in the new Halo 3 beta from Bungie and Microsoft. The game is amazing given that it’s not even the production version yet! I’ve found a few little problems here and there such as the Warthog getting “stuck” at times on Valhalla, but overall it’s a complete blast to play and I can’t wait to find more time tomorrow to get some more kills in! If you’re one of the unlucky few who didn’t get a beta key but want one, I’ve seen used copies of Crackdown here and there cheap at video and game stores that will still work to play the beta (well at least now that they have the problem with Crackdown players downloading the software fixed, hehe).
Microsoft/Bungie also announced the official release date of Halo 3 today as September 25, 2007. This was a huge surprise since both of the previous Halo games came out in November so everyone just assumed that this one would as well. I gotta say, I’m very pleasantly surprised by this and will be going to Gamestop (or someplace like that) to reserve my copy tomorrow! I suggest you do the same as I’m sure it will sell out quickly come this September.
