Can’t wait for the Detroit Auto Show!

Detroit Auto Show

Last year was the first time I’ve ever gone to the North American International Auto Show up in Detroit, MI. If you love cars the way I do (and let’s face, what guy doesn’t right?) then it’s a “must see” for you! I went with a copy buddies of mine last year and between the three of us we took well over 1,000 pictures. LOL Now that may seem obscene to some people (including my one buddy’s wife who thought we were nuts when all three of us were standing around taking the same pictures of the same cars), but to auto enthusiasts such as ourselves that place was like heaven on Earth so we wanted to capture as many pictures of it as possible. Unfortunately one of the guys probably won’t be able to go this year due to his new obligations as the majority owner in Bullwinkles Restaurant up near Dayton, OH. Which speaking of Bullwinkles, I highly recommend it to anyone in the Cincinnati/Dayton area… their ribs are to die for! Anyway, that means we’ll have less pictures this year but it also means we won’t have to drag his wife around with us all day boring the hell out of here like we did last year. I’m sure she’s grateful for that, hehe.

The show opens to the public on January 13th and runs through January 21st. I’m not sure which of those two weekend I’ll be there at this point but I do know I’ll be bringing back some great pics to post up here as well as my thoughts on the new vehicles being unveiled there this year. The one I’m most interested to check out this year is the new 400HP Toyota Hybrid Sports Car! A hybrid car that costs $35,000 and goest 0-60mph in 4 seconds? Yes please! I hoping this is more eventful than the one car I went to see last year (the new Chevy Camaro concept) since they didn’t really tell you anything at all about the car other than it might be put into production if enough people express an interest. What the hell kinda promo is that?!? I want to know when I can buy it and how much is it going to cost… not how to vote for it on their website. Luckily they also showed the new Dodge Challenger which looked amazing! I can’t wait to see one of those things roar past me on the road some day soon. I’m SO glad that muscle cars are making a comeback!
