So I’m reading one of my favorite blogs the other day (JohnChow.com) and noticed he had posted up this little challenge to other bloggers out there to review his site for a link back from his site AND a Mini TV USB. While I really have no interest in the hardware, I would definitely love a link back from a site that not only do I read daily but a site that ranks as high as his on Technorati! That said, I thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you about his site.
I first found John’s site back in September when I noticed his post on The Internet’s Biggest Google Whores posted over at Digg.com. I found his post interesting and it intrigued me to read more of his blog. After more reading and watching how often he updated the blog (daily at least… sometimes several times a day), I was hooked and started reading it every day. He posts on everything and anything really but most of his work is based on his background in internet marketing, promotion, and money-making. Don’t let that fool ya though since in the same day he’ll post pictures of his dinner from last night (yeah, you heard that right… his dinner) or some odd rambling post about his inspiring serial killers or killing pandas (for instance, this blog entry from just a couple days ago). As you can see, his work is entertaining, informative, and eclectic all at the same time. Not many blogs can make that claim and yet John seems to do it with an ease and grace rarely seen. All that said, I’d highly recommend you check out his site and read some of his Top Posts to get a crash course in the world of John Chow!
And for those of you who think I might just be working this angle for a quick link, notice that I reference John here as my inspiration for this theme and it’s color scheme AND I have him as the one and only person listed under my “Admired People” at this point. I’ve learned quite a bit from reading his blog and feel that I owe him this review/plug regardless of whether or not I were to get a return link from him. Lucky for me, he came up with this promotion before I got around to writing the review. So there you go John… glad to do you the solid of a glowing review! Good luck with the site and here’s hoping more people out there find out about your work!
