My wife wants a Wii?!?

So I’m sitting around the house watching TV with the wife a few nights ago and we see a commercial for the Nintendo Wii. After the commercial she turns to me and says “You know… we should get one of those. They look fun.” My response was something along the lines of complete shock mixed with youthful glee although I’m pretty sure to her it just looked like me sitting there with my mouth agape looking stupid. I quickly recovered from my stupor and agreed that we should get one immediately. I knew I had to move fast since she’s never been one to enjoy video games other than occasional drunken desire to play a driving game or shoot something. Unfortunately she made it clear that she didn’t want one right now but rather “at some point”, i.e. when the price drops since they’re still too expensive right now AND we do have an Xbox 360 already. Either way, I’m just happy to hear she actually wants to play video games for once! So I’ve now set out to find a good deal on a Wii but so far I haven’t had much luck honestly. That’s when I remembered that John Chow (the man who’s blog I’ve been reading intently for the past several months about how to make money online) was holding a contest to win a Wii! John (in conjunction with Tejpal over at 1234Pens.com who makes promotional pens) is giving away the Wii to a randomly picked person who makes a blog post about the contest (like this one). Hopefully this will get my name in the drawing before it happens at the end of the month. Wish me luck… in both the contest and in finding a good deal on a Wii if I don’t win one.
