The Vista experience awaits!

by Mike on January 29, 2007

I just opened up my packages from NewEgg.com and now I’m even more excited about the soon-to-come upgrade to Vista! Today I received the last three pieces I needed to be ready: an OEM copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, a 500GB Western Digital Hard Drive, and a 2GB OCZ flash drive for use as a ReadyBoost drive. The 500GB hard drive will be the cornerstone of my new 1TB RAID array and the Windows Vista Ultimate will give me all the power of a Media Center PC as well as all the business tools I need for doing my everyday job, i.e. Remote Desktop, VPN, etc. Hopefully I’ll be able to start the upgrade process sometime tomorrow/Wednesday and get it finished before the weekend (I have some work to do for my wife this weekend… they need a update to their website, DaytonOAC.com). I’m pretty sure the install won’t take more than a couple hours at best so I should have no problem getting it done.

Well that’s about all I have time for right now but I wanted to give you a quick update on the new toys and whatnot. I’m about to leave for the Ultimate Windows Vista Experience party down in Florence but to give you an idea of just how excited I was about the arrival of my stuff today I even took a picture for you:

Enjoy!
