The guys over at The CinemAttic have posted up a listing of the Top 10 Action Hero One Liners that any action movie fan is going to love! The whole time I was reading these I was just shaking my head at how bad they are… but that’s what makes them memorable if you think about. No one remembers the classy lines from films, but you always remember the cheesy ones that make you chuckle. A good example of this happened to me just this past Friday actually. I was having dinner with a buddy of mine at his restaurant and somehow we ended up getting into a huge discussion with two other guys at the bar about great lines from “The Princess Bride”. We probably spent a good 30 mins going back and forth quoting line after line from that movie… and we had a ton of fun doing it too! That’s a prime example of how the bad/cheesy lines from a movie not only stick in your mind but almost always end up being the most fun part of the movie.
